Positions in this function are responsible for conducting documentation needs, analysis for the improving business processes, training needs analysis for the business, developing all training materials, communications and activities to meet the organization’s job/role requirements. Involves conducting ongoing evaluations and assessments to ensure effectiveness of programs and recommending/ implementing modifications as necessary. May work with SMEs to obtain training content. May include design and development of online and web-based training materials.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Engage / collaborate with appropriate stakeholders and SMEs to identify business needs, performance goals and gaps
  • Demonstrate understanding of our business (organization structures, business strategies, goals and objectives, global businesses)
  • Conduct task analysis/research to identify the specific knowledge, skills, behaviors needed to achieve desired performance levels (e.g., focus groups, observation)
  • Gather and/or document information on stakeholders’ business requirements, specifications, and/or needs (e.g., conduct intake process, ask questions, review project charter, monitor regulations, review reports)
  • Develop appropriate learning activities based on training designs and learning objectives
  • Identify measurement approaches and mechanisms to evaluate success of the solution
  • Conduct current state analysis to gather current business, functional and non-functional requirements and constraints (i.e., “as-is “state)
  • Document future state using appropriate tools/processes (e.g., “to-be” process maps)
  • Gather information needed for the definition of requirements (e.g., business use cases, user stories)
  • Ensure obtained data and information are accurate and relevant to meet end user’s needs
  • Identify and communicate appropriate solutions needed to address identified business issues and needs (e.g., training, coaching, policy changes, system changes, process/procedure changes, compliance issues, documentation issues, incentive issues, leadership issues, organization structure)
  • Communicate any identified defects with relevant stakeholders (e.g., project managers, business partners, IT) and/or facilitate appropriate adjustments
  • Develop learning objectives based on appropriate analyses (e.g., business analysis, task analysis, audience analysis)
  • Summarize and communicate proposed solutions with the appropriate audiences in a manner tailored to their understanding, level or experience

  • Adhere to applicable internal and external communication standards established for the business (e.g., internal style guides, communication industry standards, company branding)
  • Obtain stakeholder and SME approval/sign-off of documentation materials (following review cycles) and make needed revisions based on stakeholder feedback
  • Publish, test, and upload files to the appropriate locations (knowledge library, SharePoint)
  • Provide operational instruction and guidance to business partners impacted by business process solutions (e.g., procedure; system; application)
  • Respond to on-going feedback from trainers and make appropriate adjustments to documentation deliverables.
  • Identify and incorporate needed changes to knowledge management solutions (e.g., processes, procedures, materials, techniques, curricula) based on measurement / evaluation results
  • Identify opportunities to streamline, simplify and improve client experience
  • Collaborate with stakeholders (e.g., senior leadership, end user) to ensure consistent use of knowledge library across functions and teams
  • Utilize stakeholder (e.g., senior leadership, end users) feedback and/or process performance to identify potential continuous improvement opportunities
  • Act as a Team Player and Collaborate with others
  • Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). The Company may adopt, vary or rescind these policies and directives in its absolute discretion and without any limitation (implied or otherwise) on its ability to do so
Required Qualifications:
  • Undergraduate Degree or equivalent / related experience
  • 3+ years of experience with documenting processes and practices, while effectively prioritizing multiple tasks, priorities, projects, and deadlines
  • 2+ years of experience developing training curriculum including instructor lead and computer-based content
  • Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office Products including SharePoint
  • Knowledgeable HTML
  • Learning Content tools such as TechSmith, Camtasia, Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate
  • Effective communication (verbal and written) and presentation skills with the ability to communicate to a variety of levels within the organization including leadership
  • Exceptional communication skills and facility in working with Leadership
  • Project Management
  • Six Sigma / LEAN
  • Listen Actively
  • Speak and write clearly

Preferred Qualification:
  • Prior experience in large, multi-function and cross geographic organizations
